Annual
Winter School
Every year since 2001, the Institute of Aikido has successfully run a Winter camp over the Foundation Day long weekend in June.
Usually, around 25-35 students from all around Australia.
We also welcome students from other schools and styles to join us at our annual winter school.
Winter school training consists of a combination of aikido basics, higher level techniques and weapons training. Students of all grades are encouraged to attend. Students are required to bring their own bokken and jo. Senior students should also bring shinai, tanto, ei and other weapons.
Sunday afternoon will be kept as free time for attendees. Those wishing to stay the Monday night to socialise and avoid the long weekend traffic, an invitational black tie dinner is held Monday night. A small extra fee to cover accommodation for the evening is required.
Class attendance photos can be viewd in the Gallery.
