Winter School

Every year since 2001, the Institute of Aikido has successfully run a Winter camp over the Foundation Day long weekend in June. Usually, around 25-35 students from all around Australia.
We also welcome students from other schools and styles to join us at our annual winter school.

Winter school training consists of a combination of aikido basics, higher level techniques and weapons training. Students of all grades are encouraged to attend. Students are required to bring their own bokken and jo. Senior students should also bring shinai, tanto, ei and other weapons.

Sunday afternoon will be kept as free time for attendees. Those wishing to stay the Monday night to socialise and avoid the long weekend traffic, an invitational black tie dinner is held Monday night. A small extra fee to cover accommodation for the evening is required.

Transport:
Winter school attendees will be transported from Perth by bus and / or car-pooled private vehicle.

Accommodation:
Lucieville Farm is a holiday destination located on 340 acres of open paddocks and natural bush land. The farm is nestled in scenic hills, 8kms south of Bridgetown in Western Australia.
There are four open plan A-Frame Chalets, two Large Chalets (with separate bedrooms) and a Farm Cottage.

Fees:
Accommodation and meals (if arriving Thursday) $400
Accommodation and meals (if arriving Friday) $350
Additional accommodation for the Monday night $60
Daily attendance fee (if training for the day) $60

PLEASE NOTE:
Registrations must be completed before 17th December 2011 to secure your booking. A registration of $200.00 must be deposited on or before the 17th of December.
